Biography
Hamza Ali is a dedicated Syrian Musician and professional Oud Player, whose academic journey in Music Education began in 2002. Holding a Bachelor’s degree with Honors and a University Excellence Certificate from Homs University, specialized instruction is offered in both Oriental and Western Music, ensuring students acquire fully integrated skills. As an experienced Oud Teacher, the core mission remains rooted in conveying deep academic knowledge. Expertise extends beyond private tuition, having been gained through extensive experience in leading musical ensembles and managing large-scale projects. This leadership and educational work was conducted in collaboration with various governmental and non-governmental entities. This specialized career underwent a significant geographical transformation upon my arrival in the Sultanate of Oman. Now based in Muscat, musical and educational activities have successfully expanded, utilizing this unique opportunity to blend the authentic Syrian musical heritage with the rich cultural diversity of the Gulf region.

															Syrian Development Organization
Music Skills Trainer - (2018\2020)
During my tenure in this role at (Manart Al-Fakhoora) in Latakia Governorate, I had the opportunity to work with trainees of various age groups (children, adolescents, and young adults). This experience enabled me to adapt communication methods and teaching curricula to suit each age group. Additionally, I provided regular support to school students in rural areas.
My work at the Syrian Development Organization focused on preparing and training participants in the courses I offer to become proficient in choral singing. This was achieved through a comprehensive educational plan based on explaining the fundamentals of music theory and practically applying these principles by practicing various singing styles and performing solfège exercises.

															Syrian Ministry of Culture
Board Member & Music Teacher - (2018\2022)

My responsibilities included teaching students how to play the oud, instructing them on the fundamentals of music theory, and conducting group performance classes. In addition to my teaching duties, I also handled administrative tasks and led musical ensembles for Mahmoud Al-Ajan Music Institute. This government-run institute, overseen by the Syrian Ministry of Culture, is dedicated to providing academic music education to children and adolescents.
By integrating the theoretical knowledge we teach with practical performance skills on musical instruments, we elevate the students’ artistic level and prepare them to become professional performers. This is where the importance of training students in group performance skills comes into play.
At Mahmoud Al-Ajan Music Institute, we engage newly admitted preparatory students through various musical activities, such as singing. Their education in music theory and solfège begins according to an academic plan that spans over nine years.

															Specialized Music Center
Co-founder & Music Teacher - 2022 / present

In the heart of the Omani capital, Muscat, I successfully collaborated to establish the foundation of a center aimed at becoming a trusted place for those wishing to study Eastern and Western music. This center provides academic music education, nurturing and supporting musical talents of all ages and cultural backgrounds. For more information, you can visit our center’s Instagram account.
The strength of the curricula and teaching methods we have developed is fundamental to our work and is reflected in the progress and excellence of our students as they advance in their practical performance levels. This is one of the key factors in the success of the educational process. By working directly with students, I have been able to impart academic musical knowledge in its contemporary Eastern form to diverse groups of students from around the world, particularly those who do not speak Arabic.
Community involvement plays a crucial role in conveying our principles and ideas to the broader society. This is what we have strived to achieve through our plans, one of which was collaborating with charitable organizations to launch “Modest Talents.” This free grant is aimed at talented orphans and children from low-income families in the Muscat region, with the goal of nurturing their talents and transforming them into a source of income to improve their lives.

															Al-Hikma Private School
Music Teacher - 2023 / present
As the Music Instructor at Al-Hikma School, my mission is to go beyond teaching music—it’s about creating artists. We achieve this by seamlessly integrating theoretical musical knowledge with practical, hands-on performance skills. The ultimate importance lies in training students in group performance skills. After mastering individual instruments, they learn the art of synchronization, active listening, and collaborative discipline—essential qualities for success on any stage. Witness our students embodying this magical blend of solo mastery and ensemble harmony in every note they play!
A core part of my responsibilities was organizing the periodic celebrations held by the school for various local and global occasions. These included Omani National Day, World Children’s Day, Omani Teacher’s Day, and most recently, the graduation ceremony for the fourth cohort of General Education Diploma students, under the patronage of Her Excellency Dr. Madiha bint Ahmed Al Shaibaniyah, Minister of Education.

Through the Omani Ministry of Education’s curriculum for musical skills, I have been able to contribute to the development of musical awareness among students at Al-Hikma Private School, spanning various age groups from kindergarten to the end of secondary school. Nurturing children’s talents and enhancing their motivation towards learning and exploration are among the main themes under which other principles of teaching and training in musical skills fall.
